On-Field
Ben made his debut in BBL|08, making an immediate impression claiming the excellent figures of 2-13 from four overs, and was named Player of the Match, in a 33-run win over the Melbourne Renegades at Marvel Stadium. He played five matches during the Sixers’ BBL|09 title campaign, collecting six wickets at an average of 18.
Ben is a prolific wicket-taker for his Premier Cricket club, Sydney, taking more than 200 First Grade wickets by the age of 23. Playing a major role in the winning of the 2021 Sydney Premier Grade Cricket Competition.
In the 2021 off-season, Ben made the move South to Tasmania, which immediately paid off making his List A Debut for the Tasmanian Tigers in the March One-Day Cup against the Queensland Bulls. Ben has also had experience in England, playing for Kent 2nd XI in the English County Cricket Championship.
Ben joined the South Australian Redbacks ahead of the 2022 season, he went on to win the Neil Dansie Medal for that season. The Neil Dansie Medal is awarded to the most outstanding South Australian male cricketer across all formats (Shield, Marsh Cup & BBL) of the game, voted on by the players.
Ben made his T20I debut for Italy in July 2023.
On November 14th ahead of South Australia’s match against NSW, Ben was named Captain of the South Australian Sheffield Shield side.
Off-Field
In his spare time Ben loves outdoor activities that coincide with a healthy lifestyle, including a passion for social golf.
He also holds fond regard of his Italian heritage and culture.
